A permit application may only be canceled while it is still pending and before it has been reviewed by the municipality. Make sure you refresh your browser before trying to cancel to be sure the town hasn't pulled your permit for review. If the permit is still pending, click on the Action button and click Cancel Application. Please note, canceling an application is permanent.
Once a permit has been reviewed by the municipality (indicated by the blue magnifying glass icon) you no longer have the option to cancel your application. If you no longer need the permit, you should immediately contact the municipality and ask them to deny your application.
Important Information about Canceled Applications
When applications are canceled, the pre-authorization on your credit card will be released and the card is not charged.
Approved permits cannot be canceled.
Canceled applications are not saved to your Oxcart dashboard, but can be searched by hovering over your account name and selecting "Search Applications". Click on Change Filters and check the box for "Cancelled" under application status to view.
