When do I pay for my ROW permit?

Right of Way

Last updated on 22 Jan, 2026

Right of Way permit payments are going to vary across municipalities. Some municipalities will require an application fee that must be paid up front to submit your application. These are non-refundable fees set by the municipality.

Permit fees will be assessed after the application has been reviewed by the municipality. Once approved, you can pay your permit fee from your Oxcart dashboard.

You may also be assigned an inspection fee by the municipality. If an inspection fee is assigned it can be paid through your Oxcart dashboard. Inspections can be set for pending applications and approved permits.

As a ROW permit works its way through the review process it may require multiple payments (application fees, permit fees, and/or inspection fees). Receipts for all payments can be found by clicking the blue Action button associated with the permit and selecting "Payments".
