Applicants log into their free Oxcart account and submit a permit application based on your agency’s customized specifications.
Before submitting, applicants enter payment details. Their credit card is pre-authorized for the total amount—including permit fees, Oxcart service fees, and credit card processing fees. They must agree to the terms and refund policy. Right of Way applications are excluded from pre-authorization; payment will be required as the application review process progresses.
Once submitted, your agency receives an email or text alert that a permit application is awaiting review.
Your representative logs into your Oxcart account, selects the pending application, and can edit any application field as needed.
Representatives can adjust fees, modify routes, request documents, add special conditions, and approve or deny the application.
The applicant is notified via email immediately upon approval or denial.
For approved permits, the applicant’s card is charged before the permit can be viewed or downloaded. If fees were changed during review, the original pre-authorization is released and the applicant must pay the updated amount.
The final permit PDF includes your agency’s legal text, contact information, and branding.
